Swiss NEW wave folk Metal superstars, Eluveitie, are set to release a NEW album entitled 'Helvetios' in North America on February 28th via Nuclear Blast Records. Eluveitie will unleash its fourth studio album in the midst of the North American portion of the band’s “Helvetios World Tour". Meshuggah To Take Part In A Video Online Chat Today!

The Kings of Swedish Metal, Meshuggah, revealed the title of their seventh studio album: 'KOLOSS' (set to be released on March 27th via Nuclear Blast Records). Last week, the band revealed their NEW album cover and track listing (see below).

Today, Meshuggah's own Jens Kidman (Vocalist) and Tomas Haake (Drummer) will be taking part in a video online chat via Ustream.tv in the Nuclear Blast Streaming Room today, January 24 at 12:30 p.m. PST/3:30 p.m. EST/9:30 p.m. CET. Hypno5e Set To Launch 'Acid Mist Tomorrow' - Pre-Order's Available Now!

French experimental Heavy Metal quartet, Hypno5e, has launched a pre-order for the band’s upcoming sophomore release, 'Acid Mist Tomorrow', via the official Hypno5e Bandcamp page (see the link below). The album can be pre-ordered as a hard copy CD or as a CD/merchandise bundle pack. Fans who pre-order the album this month will receive their copy weeks before the official digital release date of February 22nd.

Hypno5e recently unveiled the album’s title track, which has garnered instant acclaim across the Internet from fans and critics alike.

“We haven’t heard the whole album yet, but assuming that the title track is representative of the rest of the album, I’m looking at a Top 15 entry for this year for sure,” wrote MetalSucks.net.

“The 10-minute experimental/progressive Metal track ranges from Gojira-like intensity and aggression to beautifully haunting atmosphere,” commented HeavyBlogIsHeavy.com. “I’m sure this album will end up on some Best Of 2012 lists.”

Meshuggah Reveal NEW Album Cover & Track Listing For 'KOLOSS'!

Over the weekend, the Kings of Swedish Metal, Meshuggah, revealed the title of their seventh studio album: 'KOLOSS' (set to be released on March 27th via Nuclear Blast Records). Today, the band has revealed their NEW album cover and track listing (see below).

Tomas Haake, drummer of Meshuggah, has released the following update regarding the name of their seventh studio album:

“As always, we try to take our music in a slightly different direction with each album and with 'KOLOSS' we feel that we really nailed what we were going for. Organic brutality, viscera and groove all crammed into a 54-minute Metalicious treat, best avoided by the faint of heart!!”

Regarding the production of 'KOLOSS', this is what the band had to say about this:

"After a long time of deep soul searching and intense wrecking of the psyches, the new album is finally done. Soon you will meet this colossus that will pulverize your being. Welcome to the other side on March 27."

To this Meshuggah's shredder Fredrik Thordendal added:

"Yes, we are working on a new album and have been for a long time. I'm so excited about this one. We've always tried to change how we write songs to keep it exciting, but on recent albums we've also been moving further away from working together as a band. On this album, though, everyone is working together. Every day that we're in the studio, we'll play whatever song we're working on, record a demo version of it to analyze at home, and then come back the next day, talk about it and try to make it better. I think because of this, it's going to be our best album yet."

CANNIBAL CORPSE To Release NEW Album - Artwork, Track Listing & First Single Revealed!

America's reigning kings of brutality, CANNIBAL CORPSE, will unleash their twelfth studio offering this March via Metal Blade Records. Aptly titled 'Torture', the follow-up to 2009's 'Evisceration Plague' offers up 12 tracks of maniacally precise, soul-searing Death Metal. Torture was again produced by Hate Eternal's Erik Rutan at his own Mana Recording Studio in St. Petersburg, Florida as well as Sonic Ranch in Tornillo, Texas, and features the maniacal cover art by longtime CANNIBAL CORPSE artist, Vincent Locke, viewable below.

While 'Torture' marks the latest progression in the band's sound, it also witnesses a return to what drummer Paul Mazurkiewicz accurately terms "the frenzied attack of 'Butchered At Birth' (1991) or 'Tomb Of The Mutilated' (1992)," infusing the band's advanced musicianship with the raw savagery that haunted their earlier releases, and in the process conceiving the definitive CANNIBAL CORPSE record. Adds bassist Alex Webster on the outcome of the record: "We're extremely happy with how 'Torture' turned out. Erik Rutan did an amazing job with the production, and the songwriting and performances may be our strongest yet. We can't wait until our fans get to hear the whole thing!"

Prototype Reveal NEW Album Title and Track Listing!

Los Angeles based progressive/aggressive Metal band Prototype will release their 3rd full length album 'Catalyst' in early 2012 via Nightmare Records. Nearly 2 years in the making, 'Catalyst' is a science fiction themed concept album featuring 12 tracks and over 60 minutes of all new music. The effort was produced by Prototype and is currently being mixed by Neil Kernon. 'Catalyst' will be mastered by Alan Douches and artwork will once again be created by Travis Smith.
