VH1 Classic's THAT METAL SHOW Announces Season 10 - Details Revealed!
As exciting as the last season of VH1 Classic’s That Metal Show, you ain’t seen nothing yet! Eddie Trunk, Don Jamieson and Jim Florentine are back for the tenth season of the show that’s revered by Metalheads and musicians alike, and although the show won’t be back until Saturday, March 31, we just got our hands on a sneak preview of the first batch of confirmed guests and it’s a DOOZY.
Leading the way will be a first time That Metal Show appearance by Adrian Smith of Iron Maiden, which we are totally geeking out in anticipation of. “I’ve known the Maiden guys for a long time and been a fan since day one,” host Eddie Trunk told us. “They are easily one of the most requested bands to have a member of on TMS. Because they are such a global band it’s been hard to track them down, but thrilled we were able to catch up with Adrian. It will be cool because we don’t hear from him often, he’s a great guy, has a huge history with the band, and has a NEW side project to discuss.”
We asked Eddie if there’s any chance that he’d dress up as Iron Maiden’s infamous mascot, Eddie The Head, for the show. His reply? “I do have a mask, so you never know…”
Also on the docket this season will be appearances from Jason Newsted (another TMS newbie!), Metallica‘s Lars Ulrich, Motorhead‘s Lemmy Kilmister and the one and only Alice Cooper. “We’re super psyched about this lineup, as is Eddie Trunk. “I’m so excited about the evolution of the show, having Rock and Metal artists, and first time and returning guests,” he told us. “I love all the variety and am thrilled for a huge 2012!”

That Metal Show's Don Jamieson & Jim Florentine To Tour With Andrew Dice Clay!
Metal Blade recording artists and That Metal Show hosts Don Jamieson and Jim Florentine will be hitting the road at the end of February. They'll be performing their comedy routines on a short string of dates as the openers for the legendary Andrew Dice Clay. The tour begins February 26th at Comedy Zone in Charlotte, NC. The list of dates is below.
Don Jamieson comments on the tour: "Me, Jim Florentine and Dice - The Sideburns, the Voice & the Living Legend. It's the ultimate Rock N' Roll comedy show!". Jim Florentine adds: "It's an honor to be working with 2 of my friends on this short run of dates. Knowing the jokes we all do, the tour should be called '3 Slobs!'"
Jim Florentine released his latest standup CD/DVD, 'Cringe 'n' Purge', on October 25th, 2011 and debuted at #5 on the Billboard Comedy charts and #3 on the iTunes comedy charts! Florentine appeared on Jimmy Kimme Live! in 2011 to promote his part in the film A Little Help, starring The Office's Jenna Fischer. Florentine is best known for his work on Comedy Central's show Crank Yankers where he performed the voice of Special Ed, a mentally challenged teenager, and Bobby Fletcher, a despicable, alcoholic slob who is the older cousin of Ed.
Don Jamieson first ever live standup CD, 'Live & Hilarious', was released on April 26th, 2011. Jamieson started his career as one of the young and talented comedy minds at MTV helping to launch the careers of comics like Jon Stewart, Kevin James, Pauly Shore (sorry) and Tom Green. Amongst his many accomplishments, Jamieson won an Emmy for his work on HBO's "Inside the NFL".
Andrew Dice Clay, known as "The Undisputed Heavyweight Comedy King", has been touring in the comedy circuit for over 30 years and is the only comedian ever to sell out Madison Square Garden two nights in a row. Most recently, he appeared as himself in a recurring role on the final season of HBO's Entourage.

- 02/26: Charlotte, NC at Comedy Zone
- 02/27: Atlanta, GA at The Punchline
- 02/28: Birmingham, AL at Stardome

Generation Kill's 'Red, White and Blood' = That Metal Show's "Pick Of The Week"!
In times when music has become somewhat stale and predictable, Generation Kill has delivered the Heavy Music community a fresh sounding, hard hitting crushing display of adrenaline, via their new album entitled "Red, White and Blood". The band is fronted by Exodus' vocalist Rob Dukes, who joined forces with his good friend Rob Moschetti (ex-Pro Pain & M.O.D.) in order to create music without an agenda.
This past Saturday (December 31, 2011), That Metal Show's Don Jamieson chose 'Red, White and Blood' as his "Pick Of The Week". Here is what Jamieson had to say about the bands debut album:
"My buddy Rob Dukes who is the singer in Exodus now, has a new album with a band called Generation Kill. It's a great album with a Punk tinged Thrash sound... which is not easy to say on television. And it's very Heavy! Uber Heavy! "
Here is the clip:
On Friday the 13th of January, Generation Kill will be headlining the first-ever "Underground Metal Friday's" at Fontana's Bar in New York City! Here is the official event flier.
Recently, the band premiered the NEW video clip for their song "Red White and Blood". The video clip offers a full concept telling the all too real story of a war veteran turned serial killer through his traumatic experiences at the front. Concept by Rob Dukes (Exodus). Check it out!
Generation Kill is:
- Rob Dukes: Vocals
- Rob Moschetti: Bass/Backing Vocals
- Lou Lehman: Lead Guitar
- Jason Trenczer: Lead Guitar
- James DeMaria: Drums
