IRON MAIDEN Announce The "Maiden England" North American Tour - Video Available!

Legendary Heavy Metal band Iron Maiden, has just announced that they will be returning to North America for what they have dubbed as the "Maiden England" Tour! Support will come from none other than Alice Cooper, who will be their special guest up until July 21st. From that date one, Coheed and Cambria will take over as direct support for Iron Maiden.

The "Maiden England" tour will kick off in Charlotte, North Carolina on June 21 and will conclude in Houston, Texas on August 18th (see below for more tour dates), to be followed by further dates around the world in 2013. The band is stoked to be performing in various cities that they have not visited in years! Here is what Maiden's vocalist Bruce Dickinson had to say about this epic tour:

"We have great fun playing the history of MAIDEN tours because it gives us an opportunity between new albums to go out and play songs from our earlier catalogue. It's always fantastic seeing the crowd reaction from a new generation of fans who have never experienced some of these tracks performed live before, and of course we know our longstanding fans will enjoy seeing the original 'Seventh Son Tour' revisited — with many other surprises! Our intention is to play about two thirds of the original track list of 'Maiden England', including some songs we have not played live in a very, very long time, plus other favourites we just know the fans are going to want to hear! We always try to give our fans a great show musically, but we have always tried to make it as entertaining and memorable an experience as we can visually. And we all feel this show is going to do that splendidly! We can't wait to get started in Charlotte."

In most venues, tickets will go on sale on March 2 and March 3 but watch the band's official site or check local venue information for fuller details. Fan-club members should check out Ironmaiden.com for exclusive first day ticket presales and contest to be "First To The Barrier."

Stay tuned for more information and see you in the pit!

VH1 Classic's THAT METAL SHOW Announces Season 10 - Details Revealed!

As exciting as the last season of VH1 Classic’s That Metal Show, you ain’t seen nothing yet! Eddie Trunk, Don Jamieson and Jim Florentine are back for the tenth season of the show that’s revered by Metalheads and musicians alike, and although the show won’t be back until Saturday, March 31, we just got our hands on a sneak preview of the first batch of confirmed guests and it’s a DOOZY.

Leading the way will be a first time That Metal Show appearance by Adrian Smith of Iron Maiden, which we are totally geeking out in anticipation of. “I’ve known the Maiden guys for a long time and been a fan since day one,” host Eddie Trunk told us. “They are easily one of the most requested bands to have a member of on TMS. Because they are such a global band it’s been hard to track them down, but thrilled we were able to catch up with Adrian. It will be cool because we don’t hear from him often, he’s a great guy, has a huge history with the band, and has a NEW side project to discuss.”

We asked Eddie if there’s any chance that he’d dress up as Iron Maiden’s infamous mascot, Eddie The Head, for the show. His reply? “I do have a mask, so you never know…”

Also on the docket this season will be appearances from Jason Newsted (another TMS newbie!), Metallica‘s Lars Ulrich, Motorhead‘s Lemmy Kilmister and the one and only Alice Cooper. “We’re super psyched about this lineup, as is Eddie Trunk. “I’m so excited about the evolution of the show, having Rock and Metal artists, and first time and returning guests,” he told us. “I love all the variety and am thrilled for a huge 2012!”
