Yoso - Yoso

Yoso is a melodic rock/progressive rock supergroup combining former members of Yes (Billy Sherwood—bass/vocals and Tony Kaye—keyboards) and Toto (Bobby Kimball—vocals).

The term “Super-Group” can only describe the formation of two of the most creative and musical legendary bands of the past 30 years into the new band YOSO. Formed out of TOTO’s brilliant vocalist Bobby Kimball and the creative force of YES members, Tony Kaye and Billy Sherwood, it does indeed equal the magic of YES with the voice of TOTO. However, YOSO is much more than a combination of two classic rock groups. YOSO has combined their musical talents to produce an album of new music.

Todays tune is the title track "Yoso" from the debut CD. This is Live In Puebla Mexico Oct 2009.

The Gloria Story - Oh no

The Gloria Story is a Swedish band from Skövde, formed in early 2009. Five guys with a rock and roll-mission.

The Gloria Story plays rock and roll heavily influenced by the sounds of the late 60's and early 70's. Its a mix between old Kiss and Hellacopters and sounds really good. I bumped into these guys the other day when they visit Flaten. A nice bunch of guys.

Rodrigo y Gabriela - Hanuman

Rodrigo y Gabriela (Rodrigo and Gabriela) are a Mexican musical duo who specialize in playing fast, rhythmic acoustic guitars. The duo's members are Rodrigo Sánchez, lead guitar, and Gabriela Quintero, rhythm guitar.

Before they became the most visible flamenco duo of the early 2000s, guitarists Rodrigo Sanchez and Gabriela Quintero bonded over heavy metal while growing up in Mexico City. They combined their talents for a time in the metal group Tierra Acida. Though they recorded some material, Tierra Acida never hit it big, and an album was never released. Instead, Sanchez and Quintero concentrated on learning more guitar styles, teaching lessons during the day and playing bossa novas in hotel bars at night. Bored and frustrated with their chances in the Americas, the two decided to try their luck in Europe instead. They soon bumped into Damien Rice who offred them a spot on his upcoming tour and that open up the doors for them.

Todays tune "Hanuman" is taken from the third studio album "11:11", it was released on 8 September, 2009. Each song on the album is a tribute to an artist that has inspired both Rodrigo and Gabriela and todays tune is dedicated to Carlos Santana

Korzus - Truth

Korzus is a Brazilian thrash metal band, formed in 1983 in São Paulo. They are one of the oldest and most important bands of the Brazilian Thrash Metal scene, along with bands like Sarcófago, Sepultura.

They changed the lineup a lot of times since the birth of the band, but three members, Marcello Pompeu (on vocals), Silvio Golfetti (on guitars) and Dick (on bass guitar) remained. The classic line up of the band (1988 - 1992) was Marcello Pompeu (vocals), Silvio Golfetti (guitars), Marcelo Nicastro (guitars), Dick (bass) and Roberto Betão Sileci (drums, replacing Zema who committed suicide in 1988).

Todays tune "Truth" is picked from the latest record Discipline Of Hate, this record got reviewed on the latest batch of records on Werock, check it out.

Torture Division - Traumatic Inhuman Severance

Torture Division is a Swedish army of three gents, Lord K Philipson - Guitars, Tobben Gustafsson - Drums and Jörgen Sandström - Bass and vocals. These gents has a history in bands like "The Project Hate MCMXCIX, God Among Insects, Leukemia, House Of Usher, Vomitory, Grave, Entombed, Vicious Art, Krux and a few others. Kinda impressiv history. Torture Division have released the last installment in thier second trilogy. This is “Evighetens Dårar III“. Dan Swanö had his fingers on the mixes of this record. Hulkoff of Raubtier is doing some backingvocals :)

Megadeth - Trust

I was so hungry of hard rock...so this is my choise for today.

Megadeth!
From LA, they been doing this for some time now think they begun in 1983.
Released about 12 albums between 1985 and 2009.
Megadeth remains one of the most successful heavy metal bands of all time.
Of the "Big Four" thrash metal bands (Megadeth, Metallica, Anthrax, and Slayer), Megadeth is second only to Metallica in sales and commercial success.

They preformed in Sweden at Getaway festival in July 2010.



Megadeth are:
Dave Mustaine on lead vocals, rhythm & lead guitar
David Ellefson on bass, backing vocals
Shawn Drover on drums, percussion
Chris Broderick on lead & rhythm guitar, backing vocals

Dave and David is the only one left from the start.



Dave is great singing on spanish, this u will hear on this video.
