Cradle Of Filth cool mix of metal and...a bit of hm...how should i describe it, Im thinking; bit of Kraftwerk and somthing else I cant put my finger on at the moment.
They are from England and started up in 1991. And I think that Dani is the only one left from the start, although Paul came in at 1992 the he quitted -96 then came back 2000.

This Ashley is one hell of a woman, 2009 she become the new keyboardist for Cradle of Filth, replacing Rosie Smith. Ashley was classically trained on piano since age six, and on top of that she got her bachelor's degree in Music Composition and Theory from Arizona State University. Thats something huh ?!

This band comes from Sweden, Gothenburg as so many metal band. Seems like Gothenburg Breath Metal and Trash Metal. :-D
(I think there is a Canadian band also named The Haunted but this is definitely not that band.)
They started up in 1996. The members back then were Patrik Jensen (also member of Witchery) on guitar, Jonas Björler on bass, Adrian Erlandsson on drums, Anders Björler on guitar. The Vocalist Peter Dolving joined in 1997.
Both of the Björler brothers and Erlandsson were members of seminal melodic death metal band At the Gates, as we showed u yesterday.

Later on Erlandsson quitted and a Danish drummer named Per Möller Jensen begun.
The sound is a bit diffrent but very close to At The Gates, and I like it a lot.
They are confirmed as support for the European club shows with SLAYER this summer.

At the Gates was a melodic death metal band from Gothenburg, Sweden, and a major progenitor of the Gothenburg death metal sound. Initially active from 1990 to 1996, the band reformed in 2007 for a reunion tour. At the Gates consist of Tomas Lindberg − vocals; Anders Björler − guitar, drums; Jonas Björler − bass guitar; Adrian Erlandsson − drums and Martin Larsson − guitar
In 1995 released their most commercially and critically successful album, Slaughter of the Soul, this one was released on the major metal label Earache Records. This album made a huge stamp in the history books of one of the leaders of the Swedish metal scene. The band got some international success and went out on tour in the U.S and after this tour and some festival gigs in Sweden the Björler brothers departed in 1996 and the remaining members decided that they never would be able to continue with out them and the band broke up.
On October 18, 2007, At the Gates announced several reunion shows for mid-2008, including Getafe Electric Festival, Roskilde Festival, Ruisrock, Wacken Open Air, Graspop Metal Meeting, Sweden Rock Festival, Gods of Metal, Hellfest Summer Open Air, Castle Festival, and Bloodstock Open Air, as well as a tour of Japan with The Dillinger Escape Plan, Into Eternity, Pig Destroyer, and Mayhem in May 2008. Throughout July 2008, they toured the US and Canada on what was dubbed the "Suicidal Final Tour", and played their final UK show at Bloodstock Open Air on Sunday on 17 August 2008. Some gigs in Gothenburg and Stockholm in September and they finished their last show in Athens, Greece on 21 September, 2008.
Today i was at one of the 2 Swedish dates at the Cinema for the screenings of "Under A Serpent Sun" documentary. It was really a great mix of history, footage, music and some great stories during the years and of course the reunion trip. A nice little anecdote that wasn't told in the video was during the last shows in Stockholm, they did 2 sold out shows were both Thetania and me was working at. Thetania was working as a Security during this show and after the first night when she was standing in the ditch right under "Tompa" (you who has seen him in action can guess that he head-bangs and sweat alot.) it was like it was pouring rain (Sweat and bear) so next night she asked if i could do the last songs as she didn't want to get soaked again :) oh well, ok i said yes. I had payed attention the night before so i knew that this should occur so i prepared myself with an umbrella :) when the last tunes was going on i shifted place with Thetania and waited for the moment when "Tompa" did his water pouring thing and was going to start his head-bang, when the moment came i folded out the umbrealla and "Tompa" notice it and started to laugh in the middle of his lyrics but as a "old man in the house" he manage to get back in line again and after the show we had a big laugh about it...and yes i got ok from "Tompas" wife to do it :) The documentary will be able on the new DVD release.

Slipknot is an American heavy metal band from Des Moines, Iowa, formed in 1995. Slipknot consists of nine members. The current band members are Sid Wilson, Joey Jordison, Paul Gray, Chris Fehn, Jim Root, Craig Jones, Shawn Crahan, Mick Thomson, and Corey Taylor. Slipknot's mix of grinding, post-Korn alternative Marilyn Manson's neo-shock rock and rap-metal helped make them one of the most popular bands in the so called nu-metal area of the late 90's. Each member of the band wears a identical jump suite with a unique homemade halloween mask. Have seen this band perform a few times and that is kinda cool, its a magical show from start to end.

Ebba Grön was a Swedish punk band formed in 1977. Ebba Grön was not the hardest punk band in Sweden but they became very popular that any other bands in that genre. Some might say that they still consider as the kings of Swedish punk.
Todays tune "Mamma Pappa Barn" is a song from 1981, taken from their second album "Kärlek & Uppror" The tune is about family relations and the relations to one mans parents, the lyrics is very depressing even if the tempo is very high. Mamma Pappa Barn" is the only music video that has been recorded and can be seen on the "Ebba The Movie"

Friday again, this week just flew by and i wonder what have i done, well something has been done. Been a bit quiet on the musical scene (workwise) this week (did a quickie with a Swedish band called Kent no much but still some, they did a small rehearsal week and moving off next week to a bigger place to practice for the upcoming tour, i will do some report on it later on, Thetania was off doing Jonas Gardell again), there is a few bands that plays tonight, but no, not this time, this weekend will be full of social things anyway, some work i need to finish up for some friends, family etc etc so this weekend will go in a sec as usual. Got a tip from a friend, (Cheif Rebel Angel at Metalyze) about a band that suite the last days line up for Tune Of The Day. So why not continue. Thanks Cheif.
Throwdown is an American straight edge hardcore / metal band from Orange County, California, formed in 1997. Throwdown is a kick out stomping metal band with guys like Dave Peters (vocals), Mark Choiniere (guitar), Mark Mitchell (bass) who's deliver some really tightly hardcore, with a influences of bands like Pantera, Machine Head, and Sepultura. Its fast, brutal and passionate aggressive music. Throwdown are also know for their mosh pits :)

Baroness is a progressive metal band from Savannah, Georgia, USA whose members grew up together in Lexington, Virginia. Baroness formed in 2003, founded by former members of the punk/metal band Johnny Welfare and the Paychecks.
Singer John Baizley creates the artwork for all Baroness albums, and has done artwork for other bands and labels such as Darkest Hour, The Red Chord, Vitamin X, Sounds of the Underground tour, Kylesa, Daughters, Torche, Pig Destroyer, and the Magrudergrind/Shitstorm split grindcore CD on Robotic Empire. And i must say he is just amazing, love his work.
Baroness will be supporting Mastodon in their US headlining tour starting off in April. Later this month they will travel to Australia to do some gigs with Faith No More, Jane's Addiction, AFI and Meshuggah and the its a few stops in Japan in mars.
About the "Blue Record" as this is a "Sister" record for the 2007 "Red Album", this record is a bit different than the previous, this one got more "Go" even if some tunes have the similar flow, this is a brilliant album as you can hear some many great influences that Baroness really take care of, you got John Baizley’s psychedelic lyrics, great harmonies, brilliant melodies and well done riffs. "Blue Record is an instantly-classic album"
