Due to unforeseen visa issues, California ministers of gore EXHUMED have been forced to cancel their previously scheduled dates in Brazil this week with Aborted.
Comments vocalist/guitarist Matt Harvey: “We are totally weakened to have to cancel our Brazilian dates. Due to our visa applications getting rejected, we cannot legally enter the country at this time -- in fact, they threatened to ban us from being there for a decade. We are doing everything we can to reschedule these dates as soon as possible. Due to the bullshit policies of U.S. immigration/customs and Brazilian customs' policy of reciprocity, our visas were refused by the Brazilian consulate before even being processed. We seriously and very sincerely apologize to all our friends in Brazil who wanted to see the band. We will do everything in our power to work with our agent, the promoter, and the immigration assholes in the U.S. and Brazil to get this squared away. This is a serious bummer. We will spend the extra week before heading to Europe looking at hot Brazilian chicks on the Internet instead of in real life and being really, really pissed off.”
EXHUMED will kick off the 16-date "Grind Over Europe Tour" with Rotten Sound and Magrudergrind on February 24, then join Anaal Nathrakh for a short run of U.K. dates. From there, the band will take their audio menace stateside for a handful of headlining shows before jumping on a near month-long bout of U.S. dates with death Metal icons Cannibal Corpse! Joined by labelmates Abysmal Dawn and Arkaik, the live rituals will commence on April 5 in Jacksonville, Florida and include an appearance at the The Cincinnati Metal Fest on April 14 as well as a special show on April 28 where the brutal caravan will merge with the Decibel Magazine tour featuring Behemoth, Watain, The Devil’s Blood and In Solitude.

EXHUMED Announce U.S. Tour Dates With CANNIBAL CORPSE + A Slew Of Headlining Shows!
Adding to a maniacal live takeover that includes a short South American run with Aborted, the Grind Over Europe Tour with Rotten Sound and Magrudergrind, a U.K. journey with Anaal Nathrakh and a handful of stateside headlining dates, California goregrind ministers EXHUMED are pleased to announce a near month-long bout of U.S. dates with Death Metal icons/headliners Cannibal Corpse!
Comments vocalist/guitarist Matt Harvey: "We are totally stoked about this tour and look forward to seeing some smiling, blood-streaked faces in the front row every night. It's a great tour package to be a part of, and anyone within barfing distance should cruise out and grab a beer with us! It's truly a pleasure to support a band that has as much longevity and integrity as the gentlemen in Cannibal Corpse, so we'll try extra hard not to go out there and stink it up every night. Our livers, brain cells and dignity are about to be sacrificed on the altar of Death Metal once again -- see you all out there!”

Suffocation To Release NEW Album - Update Available!
Last summer, we had the chance to speak with Suffocation's own Mike Smith (drummer) about the future of the band. During the interview he told us that Suffocation was taking their time before releasing a NEW album, since they felt that it was time for them to step back and find the proper opportunities in order for their career to reach a whole new level. At the time he also said that they will be releasing a new DVD titled "Legacy of Violence" soon.
Well, we have good news! The extreme Metallers have announced that are hard at work on their seventh studio album, which is slated for a summer release via Nuclear Blast Records. Here is what bassist Derek Boyer had to say about this in the February issue of Decibel Magazine:
"We're in the pre-production stage [and are] currently working on final arrangements, lyrical placement and content. "Each album is an evolution process. As always, we take the key elements that are Suffocation, add current feelings and outside influences, then begin collaborating. We're very happy with the direction we're headed!"
Suffocation's Discography:
- Effigy of the Forgotten (1991)
- Breeding the Spawn (1993)
- Pierced from Within (1995)
- Souls to Deny (2004)
- Suffocation (2006)
- Blood Oath (2009)
- Untitled (2012)

Exhumed Announce 'Grind Over Europe Tour' - Rotten Sound & Magrudergrind to Join Them!
Following their first ever trek through Brazil with Aborted, California goregrind ministers Exhumed will spray their blood overseas next month on the 'Grind Over Europe Tour' 2012. Set to kick off on February 24 in Barcelona, Spain, the band will mercilessly tear through 16 cities. Speakers will blow, ears will bleed, villages will crumble. You have been warned. The band will be joined by label-mates Rotten Sound and Magrudergrind.
Comments vocalist/guitarist Matt Harvey: "We're fully chuffed to have an opportunity to Grind Over Europe with a couple of our favorite bands: Rotten Sound and Magrudergrind! If you don't like blastbeats, manic energy, beer, stage-diving, rhino charges, swinging thumbjumps or Scott Carlson bass grinds, do yourself a favor and stay the fuck home! This tour, in addition to being a screaming whirlwind holocaust, will single handedly bring the phrase 'play fast or die!' back en vogue. We're psyched to get to hit a few countries for the first time on this tour, as well as dust off some old and particularly short, fast, and loud numbers for the set. Our very first tour in '97 was the Grind Over Europe II tour with Hemdale and Nyctophobic, so whoever said 'you can't go home again' is obviously full of shit! Bring your studded vests, dreadlocks, Agathocles split EPs, and worn out old Napalm Death shirts on down to the show and let's tear some shit apart! Cheers!"

Exhumed Offers Holiday Gift for Extreme Metal Fans: Live Download From Maryland Deathfest!
Goregrind legends Exhumed played their first U.S. show in over six years at the 2011 edition of the 'Maryland Deathfest' and thanks to NPR, the set -- in all its uncensored glory -- is available for your consumption at the link below.
Exhumed released their 'All Guts, No Glory' full-length earlier this year via Relapse Records. The record continues to reap critical acclaim from fans and critics nationally and has left it's grisly mark on multiple Year End lists including Decibel, Pitchfork, NPR.org, MetalSucks and Skulls N Bones!
Said vocalist/guitarist menace Matt Harvey: "2011 has been a great year for the band. We've had a killer time scraping off the rust on the gore Metal machine and getting back on the road and partying with necromaniacs all over the place. It's amazing how many people have enjoyed our racket and have actually said nice things about our record -- sometimes even in public! We have a lot of shit planned for next year and we're chomping at the bit to continue subjecting the universe to more of our god awful noise! See you on the road...or at the bar. Play fast or die, dudes. Cheers!"
As previously announced, Exhumed will be showering Brazil with their infernal live rituals this Winter with Aborted. This will mark the band's first time ever in the country.

Exhumed Set To Destroy Brazil In 2012!
Goregrind overlords EXHUMED are pleased to announce four Brazilian shows this Winter with Aborted. This will mark the band's first time ever in the country. The short but epic run will commence on February 17, 2012 and hit Belo Horizonte, São Paulo, Curitiba and Porto Alegre.
Comments vocalist/guitarist Matt Harvey: "We are beyond psyched to head to Brazil for the first time. We've been getting letters and emails from folks down there for years and it is going to be awesome to finally be able to play for those maniacs south of the equator. I know they're ready for some serious gore fucking metal and we can't wait to deliver it to them!"

- 2/20/2012: Bar Opinião in Porto Alegre, RS
EXHUMED will be touring in support of 'All Guts, No Glory', issued earlier this year via Relapse Records. The band's first new record in almost eight years offers up 11 choice cuts of grinding death metal and has turned up on multiple Year End lists including Decibel, Pitchfork, NPR.org, MetalSucks and Skulls N Bones! Metal Underground praised the release saying: “EXHUMED are back, hungry, vicious, and unrelenting,” while Decibel Magazine noted: “Everything seems more fluid and powerful, though as vicious as it all is, the focus remains on the composition and how it smacks the listener between the eyes.” Revolver agreed: “… fans of dripping blood, gaping autopsies, and ravenous zombies will absolutely adore this record.” Added Aborted: "EXHUMED has not only strongly persisted over the last 20 years, but has also managed to simultaneously keep their musical integrity and brutal, gore-filled lyrics fully intact."
