Saviours - Cavern Of Mind

Tonight the plan was to go and look at the American stoner metal band "Saviours" at Kafe44, nothing booked until now, but as they say is quick turns and rapid twists in the music industry, so tonight it will be something completely different. More on that tomorrow, of course:)

So we cry a little and play a tune with Saviours!

Todays tune "Cavern of Mind", is taken from the "Cavern of Mind" EP and features demo versions of "Raging Embers" and "Cavern Of Mind", with an etching on the b-side by Derrick Snodgrass of Temple Tattoo in Oakland, CA.
Recorded at Earhammer, Oackland and Mastered at R.E.M. Sound, New York. Enjoy!

Big Business - The Drift

Big Business is a stoner metal/sludge metal band from Seattle. The band started as a two piece band composed of Jared Warren of Karp and The Tight Bros From Way Back When and Coady Willis of Murder City Devils. Their sound has been characterized as a bombastic and frantic low end attack, marked by Warren's signature vocal delivery.

The band released its first album, "Head for the Shallow", on January 25, 2005.
In late 2006, after relocating to Los Angeles, Jared and Coady both became members of The Melvins, first appearing on "(A) Senile Animal". The tour, titled "the Double-Drumming Rock for Peace tour", featured Warren and Willis playing a set as Big Business before being joined by Crover and Osborne for a set as the Melvins. While on tour, Big Business played with David Scott Stone who would later play guitar and Minimoog Voyager on all songs from their 2007 release "Here Come the Waterworks”. Big Business released their third album "Mind the Drift" on May 12, 2009. The album, produced by Phil Ek, who has produced both of their previous albums.

They will be touring Summer 2011 with Torche and Thrones.

Queens Of The Stone Age - Mexicola

Queen Of The Stone Age is playing in Stockholm, Cirkus tonight!
Im afraid we will miss it, as we are gonna look on The Rush concert.

This week been all Crazy, Begun with Roger Waters, a huuuge production, This was mixed with the Jusuf (Cat Stevens) Islam load in, then today, Rush...and tomorrow Jusuf load out...Im gonna sleep almost all sunday...I wish, nah Stones will sleep half of it :p ..haha

Q.O.T.S.A. released a remastered version of their first self titled album early 2011.
They have also stated that they will be playing the Australian festival Soundwave in 2011. According to keyboardist Dean Fertita, Queens of the Stone Age are set to begin recording their new album in January 2011.

In March 2011, Homme stated that: "Doing the rehearsals for the first record is really defining the new one. It's been turning the new record into something else. What we were doing was kind of bluesy, and now it's turned into this trancey, broken thing. The robots are back!"
