Crossfade - Killing Me Inside

I ran across :) a new band today, Crossfade!
Make me think of Nickelback at the beginning or mayby the Swedish Takida.
But somehow harder but with the same singing tune :)
Anyway the play sort of hard rock-alternative rock sorta.
Its an American band from South Carolina.
Crossfade was formed in 1999, originally under the name The Nothing.
In 2002, they changed their name to Crossfade.

This singel is taken from their 3rd album "We All Bleed".

Mitch James on bass, vocals
Les Hall on Lead guitar, keyboards, vocals
Mark Castillo on drums, goomba

Flyleaf - Chasm

Flyleaf is the band im gonna show u today, I saw em as a support band to a band I dont remember... haha Ah well it was on the Stadion In Stockholm, Sweden.
I was pretty amazed over her voice.



Then last year I heard her (Lacey Sturm)singin´ in Apocalyptica´s "Broken Pieces, and i was totally hooked to her!



Flyleaf is heavy music and pained lyrics go together like cake and ice cream, and Belton, Texas quintet, Flyleaf, aren't about to break with tradition. But while many loud rockers reopen old wounds by singing about their broken homes and broken hearts, Flyleaf confront past traumas to heal old scars and prove in the process that hope shines brighter than despair.



The tune of today is on the album on their follow-up to their 2005 platinum debut. It contains 14 songs, which were selected out of 30 already written. The band reunited with producer Howard Benson to make the album. The album was recorded at Bay7 Studios in Los Angeles, California. It was released on November 10, 2009. The band debuted two songs, "Chasm" and "Circle", from Memento Mori live during a small acoustic tour in Afghanistan for United States Troops.

Foo Fighters - Walk

Im doing a break in Metaltown/WestCoastRiot videos, for,

FOO FIGHTERS
There they were, at the Stadion in Stockholm yesterday and they rocked!


Totally filled up, around 35 thousand waving hands..
I was standing as a Security Guard in the front of the catwalk.
I could hear David´s Breathing, got his sweat on me :p
With my eyes on the audience, it was a fantastic view to see all these singing happy people, David Grohl takes the best of u and wind it up even higher and bang there u go.


Marvelous gig, with all the great songs best, respons they got from the tune "Best Of You" from the album "In Your Honor" folks around sang the tune long after it ended :D

Although I am a metal girl, I totally adore Foo Fighters and hmm there is something special with that David Grohl, he is a huge being, damn it :

Seether - Country Song

Seether just released their album "Holding Onto Strings Better Left to Fray".

This band first name was Saron Gas, they come from Pretoria, South Africa, 1999.

The ballad "Broken" with Amy Lee of Evanescence on share vocal with Morgan. Inspired by the positive reaction the duet got on the road and perhaps fueled by a budding romance between Lee and Morgan, the band headed into the studio and quickly recorded an alternate version of "Broken" with Amy Lee on vocals.



The song, along with a new song titled "Sold Me", was featured on the soundtrack for the 2004 film The Punisher and was massively successful, bringing the band fame in the US, the UK and Australia in particular. I really like "Broken" a lot its a good tune, Amy´s singing is awesome.

3 Doors Down - When You're Young

I realized that we forgot a release this year.... Oups.

3 Doors Down relased a single from their upcomming album "Time of My Life" that is due in July the 19th 2011. They been engaged into this album since 2010 and now finally it comes.

3 Doors Down was formed in the US 1996, by drummer/vocalist Brad Arnold, guitarist Matt Roberts and bassist Todd Harrell. The three grew up together in Escatawpa, Mississippi and shared an interest in rock music.
Their first album came 2000, and since then they have done 4 and soon it will be 5.



The guys are intrested in doing good as well, 3 Doors Down started The Better Life Foundation (TBLF) in 2003, with a goal in mind to give as many children as possible a better life. Since its inception TBLF has supported numerous charities nationwide, as well as providing aid and assistance to the Gulf Coast region of Mississippi during Hurricane Katrina.


When the Mississippi town of Waveland took an especially hard hit from Katrina, the charity was able to purchase three police cars and a fire truck to help with rescue efforts. Also, in connection with Wal-Mart, they were able to supply the town with three semi-trucks full of rescue supplies. There was also extensive support from TBLF in providing funding for rebuilding efforts in the town.



3 Doors Down and The Better Life Foundation host a yearly show in at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Biloxi, MS to raise money for the charity. In addition to a concert from 3 Doors Down and friends, there is also an auction, which includes numerous items from musical friends, sports icons, and other various supporters of the band and the charity. There is an average of sixty items auctioned off yearly, and proceeds are given to TBLF.

So that is a honored thing!

Plan Three - Brush It Off

Plan Three is a band from Stockholm, Sweden, formed in 2000.
Their music is ranging from heavy metal and grunge all the way to synth and pop, Plan Three is a band that seeks to capture something unique and interesting within a more and more challenged music scene. From the heavy riffs and blasting drumbeats to the beautiful string arrangements and warped sound effects.

Their base player is a well known radio voice here in Sweden in a rock station
called Bandit, his voice is thrilling! Had a chat with him on Sonisphere Stockholm last year, we were standing on the main stage and talked about booze and doing gigs.
Peter said that they have a great rule, no one drinks b4 the gig, mayby a bit under but nothing b4, thats great I think, its dreadful to see an artist all fucked up and try to preform BAH thats a joke, we shared a moment when they were supporting a well known band, and the singer was all drunk and almost fell down the stair when going off stage.

In November 2010 Plan Tree gave out a message; We are sad to say that our friend and drummer Andreas has decided to part ways with Plan Three due to personal reasons. We wish him best of luck. This does not affect our upcoming gigs. The coming weeks we will be trying to find someone that can fill his shoes.
I havent seen any new drummer yet.
Plan Three released their debute album "Screaming Our Sins" in 2009 and
Im sure the follow up will come soon.

Okey I got a mail :D

It says: Plan Three has found a new drummer, Kristoffer Folin
is the new member!
Kristoffer has previously played in the band Melania,
works as a songwriter and producer at Studio Ramtitam.
As a drummer he gets his inspiration from such Mastodon, Deftones,
Clutch and Led Zeppelin.
He hits hard and ruthless but with an eye for details and dynamics.



"It feels super cool and a perfect match right in time for me to start
to play with the guys of Plan Three.
Hope to contribute with my own sound in a subtle yet significant way. "says Christopher.

Papa Roach - Burn

Taste Of Chaos was in town yesterday! (In Stockholm, Sweden)
The arena was quite empty it was a bit sad to see.
But they had the gig just b4 salary, and in the middle of the week,
so what can they expect.
They had at least 2 band that I wanted to hear and see.
Papa Roach and Disturbed.
Then there were Buckcherry, Halestorm, As I Lay Dying,
Heaven Shall Burn, Adept och Suicide Silence.
As I was a bit late I saw Papa Roach, As I Lay Dying and Disturbed.

Took some pics of these 3 band that I will share with u all.

We begin with Papa Roach

Papa Roach...WOW that was something,
But sadly enough their sound tech guy must have done something that
fucked up the sound cos it was not good at all,
but still they did a hell of a gig!

This band comes from the US, and they been around since 1993
Thats something huh!?!

Coma - Transfusion

As I didnt have a real TOTD tune that was up to the
expectations that I have on a song thats on the Tune Of The Day.

There is a group who came from Poland of all countries.
They call themselves Coma!



Started up in 1989 in a town called Łódź.
They just released a new album called Excess, its Comas 4th album.
I heard them for the first time today and WoW I really loved it!
(I nicked it from Stones he is doing a review in Swedish on Werock on that album)


The members are:
Piotr Rogucki on Vocals
Rafał Matuszak on bass guitar
Dominik Witczak on guitar
Marcin Kobza on guitar as well
Adam Marszałkowski on drums



Im totally thrilled over how Rafal is handling his bass.
Coma have one gig left on their tour its gonna be in
Warszawa on the 25th of September.

In 2007 Coma supported such bands as Linkin Park, Pearl Jam and Tool.
Later the same year, after a few years on tour the band decided to hide in the mountains, in a place called "Muzyczna Owczarnia" in Jaworki.
There in the care of the wonderful family of the owner of the place,
in the peaceful silence of the Pieniny Mountains they started to work on the material for their third album. When they returned to Łódź they
continued polishing the material during rehearsals.



In spring 2008 Adam Marszałkowski,
known from another band from Łódź - Normalsi,
took place of Tomasz Stasiak on drums and participated actively in
writing of new tracks. Between April and September
2008 all of the compositions were recorded,
and they were released as "Hipertrofia" on 10th of November 2008.
The album soon gained the Platinum Record status and the band went on tour again.
Then 2010 the album Excess came like a bomb!

Shinedown - Save Me

Shinedown is an American rock band from Jacksonville, Florida,
formed in 2001 and founded by members Brent Smith, Brad Stewart,
Jasin Todd, and Barry Kerch. Zach Myers joined Shinedown as a touring rhythm guitarist in 2005, before becoming their temporary bassist after the departure of Brad Stewart in 2007.

In early 2008, he assumed the role of permanent rhythm guitarist.
On December 18, 2008 Nick Perri, who was the lead guitarist after the
departure of Jasin Todd, also departed Shinedown, leaving Zach to assume the role of the band's rhythm and lead guitarist.




The influences this band has is Otis Redding, Pink Floyd, Iron Maiden,
Stone Temple Pilots and Foo Fighters

Now the band looks like this:
Brent Smith on lead vocals
Zach Myers on guitar, backing vocals
Eric Bass on bass guitar, backing vocals
Barry Kerch on drums
They have done 3 studio albums and this tune is on "Us and Them" that
came out in 2005.

At the moment they are out on a tour in the States.
I do welcome them back to Sweden!
