Primus - Hennepin Crawler

How hard it is to describe the band Primus, or even try to make a simple description of their music? Well I'll give it a try. This is a mix of Funk-rock, Progressive metal, Humor, pop, psychedelic-folk, Have I covered everything now? Les Claypool takes without shame all of it and in their blender and create something that come through the twisted marriage of cheese humor and pork-funk. Haha that wasn't a simple description.

The band's former creative landmarks such as the "Sailing the Seas of Cheese" and "Pork Soda." Are two records that simply must be part of a well-stocked collection of music, which I would also like to add this new record. I will not write a full review on their new album, can only say that the Green Naugahyde is a trainwreck of entertainment. A really fun and bouncy playhouse of Primus.

The album's title comes from the lyrics to the song "Lee Van Cleef", which describe a group of friends watching movies featuring Lee Van Cleef and Clint Eastwood, and driving a yellow Studebaker with a green Naugahyde interior.
