Takida - As You Die

Takida is a band from Ånge, Sweden, formed in 1999. The band consists of Robert Petterson (vocals, piano), Tomas Wallin (guitar), Mattias Larsson (guitar), Fredrik Pålsson (bass) and Kristoffer Söderström (drums).

Takida has sofar released 3 albums and they got thier breakthrough with their 2:nd album "Bury The Lies" witch gave them a great success in Sweden. Specially the single "Curly Sue" that topped radio channel P3s "Tracks" list for ten consecutive weeks.
The latest album "The Darker Instinct" on their on label Takida AB. (Released September 2, 2009). The album entered the Swedish album chart at No. 1 and was certified gold after just one week of sales.

In August 18, 2009 Takida announced that they had signed contract with the global Roadrunner Records. The first release outside Scandinavia will be Bury The Lies in Germany on October 2.
The name Takida comes from the character Gohei Takeda in the Japanese anime series Nagareboshi Gin.
Takida is going out for a tour in November and they might hit your town, check the tour list below.

Kiss - Modern Day Delilah

The American rock band Kiss is back with a new album "Sonic Boom", released on October 6, 2009 ("Today"). The album was recorded at Conway Recording Studios in Hollywood, CA and produced by the band's co-leader Paul Stanley and co-produced by Greg Collins. The cover artwork was created by artist Michael Doret who has worked with Kiss previously for their 1976 album Rock and Roll Over. Wal-Mart will be the exclusive distributor of the album in the US and Canada, selling it as a three disc package including the new album, the album Kiss Klassics (a completely re-recorded greatest hits album), and six song live DVD recorded April 5, 2009 in Buenos Aires, Argentina as part of the South American leg of the Kiss Alive/35 World Tour. The album will be sold as a digipak including a 20 page booklet.

And what about the album? The sound is typical Kiss, a lot of the old style but still with a modern tone. They are mixing various style with a Kiss hock, the riffs and the melody are great, both Paul and Gene are doing a great job on the vocal part, even Eric Singer is doing a superb job with his raspy vocal on the "All For The Glory" witch is one of my favorites on this album also tunes as "I'm An Animal" and "Say Yeah" are great but "Stand" was a little unexpected, its very different style from the other songs on the album. Well the final word for this piece is that it's a great rock album, so i guess the fans will be pleased with it and i believe they will catch some new friends along the way with this.

On my birthday :) September 25, 2009, the Kiss Alive/35 North American Tour kicked off at Cobo Arena in Detroit, MI; the tour is scheduled to conclude on December 6, 2009, at the American Airlines Centre in Dallas, TX.

"Modern Day Delilah is the first single out of "Sonic Boom" and this is a bold and brassy rock tune, enjoy!

In '08, I was diagnosed with breast cancer, but with (early detection) my great doctor Alex Swistel & staff and the Lord above, who always looks over me, I am cancer free today!!! I wanted to let you know men get it like women do. Don't be afraid to let someone know if you have a lump. Do the right thing for you and your loved ones and get it checked. Man or woman, there is no discrimination with breast cancer ... we all don't have nine lives.

Kent - Töntarna

Kent is a Swedish band founded in Eskilstuna in 1990, with the name Coca-Cola Kids, later Jones & Giftet (Jones & the Poison), and Havsänglar (Sea angels). As of 2007, they are one of the most popular pop/rock groups in Sweden, but are more or less unknown outside Scandinavia. Kent shortly attempted an international career with English versions of the albums Isola and Hagnesta Hill with accompanying U.S. tours for the former, but they gave up after not reaching the breakthrough they had hoped for. Kent continued their Scandinavian endeavours with three more albums and an EP. The band has sold over a million records. "VinterNoll2" is also an unlockable track in Career Mode on Guitar Hero World Tour :)



Today the new single Töntarna (translates to The Geeks) is released digitally, on october 12 the single is released physically The new Kent album "Röd" (translates to Red), their 8th overall, will be released on November 6. The album will also be released as a deluxe version including the CD, 2 x 10" vinyl and 1 USB memory stick. This spring kent will do a tour i Sweden, Finland, Denmark and Norway. In total 14 shows have been booked starting february 25 in Stockholm and ending in Örebro march 30. See the tour plan below.

So, what can i say about the new tune from Kent, well first you can hear that this is continuation from where they left last time. The typical Kent sound is there and the same with the way they build up the tune so by and large it's Kent. There is more of the electronica sound than Im use to hear, in a sufficient dose its alright. The lyrics are still as brilliant as they use to be, i guess i need to let this one grow, i hope the record will let Sami have some more space than in this tune. Anyway, enjoy this!

Little Dragon - Twice

Little Dragon is an electronic music band, based in Gothenburg, Sweden. It consists of Swedish-Japanese singer Yukimi Nagano (vocals, percussion), Erik Bodin (drums), Fredrik Källgren Wallin (bass), and Håkan Wirenstrand (keyboards).I always have hard to get into commercial electronic music if the music hasn't anything to tell, the usual blip bloop style doesn't give me much joy. But i stumble over a this band and got hooked by the way Yukimi's sung, her on the vocal is light and smooth like a vanilla smoothie and its very unique.



Todays tune is a pilot for upcoming short film "Dreams from the Woods".
A shadow puppet theater featuring the little girl, the big bird and the skeleton. Directed by Johannes Nyholm. Puppet Masters: Yukimi Nagano, Håkan Wirenstrand, Fredrik Källgren Wallin, Erik Bodin, Elias Araya, Aime Hellrand, Henrik Malmgren, Andreas Korsár and Kurt Lightner.

A Good Swedish Rock band!!

I´ve had so much to say about this band...and it havent been good, most of the time
But the band last 3 albums been awesome!!!!

John Norum came back and Joe Tempest came from England
and then they did "Start From The Dark"
second was "Secret Society"
and now their latest album "Last Look At Eden"

Well Im sure it wasent all that simple but...The sound is
much harder and more feeling in it...and Joe isnt that much
"Hey im the greatest in Europe"
There are so many great artists in that group!!!

Europe was formed in Upplands Väsby in 1979 under the
name Force by vocalist Joey Tempest and guitarist John Norum.
John Levén came into the band around 1981.
Keyboardist Mic Michaeli was recruited to play in live
concerts around 1985, and became an official member
of the band shortly after. At the same time,
Tony Reno was fired because of his
lack of motivation and alleged slacking off
on rehearsals. His replacement was Ian Haugland.

Saga - What's it Gonna be

This is one of my favorite band in the 80ths.
So, im a nostalgic mood :)

This is a band from Canada, Ontario.
Saga did around 20 studio albums and some live one´s
They play progressive rock.

Bassist-keyboardist Jim Crichton and Welsh-born
vocalist Michael Sadler have been the principal songwriters for Saga.
But now Michael left Saga and Rob Moratti is singing now.
I must say the new stuff is quite good, it doesnt sound like Original
Saga but its GOOOD!!! Ill play u a song later on :)
