Bruce Springsteen - If I Should Fall Behind

Second day with Bruce, todays tune is a track that first got released on Lucky Town back in 92'
Lucky Town is the tenth studio album by Bruce. This album was co-released on the same day as Human Touch.

History:

When Springsteen was working on Human Touch, he was intending to release the album sometime in 1990, but the project took him longer than he thought. He shelved the project in early 1991 and came back to it in September of the same year. He was intending to make one more song for the album, but he ended up making ten new songs, which wound up making a whole new album. Once he completed Lucky Town, he decided to release both albums at the same time.

This video is just great when the hole e-street band is on vocal, just enjoy it!

Bruce Springsteen - Fire

Bruce is back in town for 3 shows @ Stockholms Stadion.
The building of the area and the stage started already 2 days ago.
Bruce will perfom tomorrow, friday and sunday and having a day off with some activitys on saturday. This time he has his E-Street Band with both his wife and Nils Lofgren. So for some days we will celebrate the Boss with some tunes here @ Tune Of The Day even if im not a big fan of the guy but the hole town has Bruce fever atm. Its a pity that i forgot the camera yesterday else i could have shown some pictures from the area and stage, well perhaps in the end of this week.

Todays tune "Fire" is a song written by Bruce and originally intended for use by Elvis Presley. It was recorded first by Robert Gordon during 1978, and he received some modest album-oriented rock radio broadcasting with it.

It was then recorded and released by The Pointer Sisters later during 1978, and they gained a major success from it.

Springsteen release his own recording of the song on his 1986 Live/1975-85 album, which contains his (edited version) December 16, 1978 performance.

A cover version of "Fire" was recorded by Kenneth "Babyface" Edmonds and Des'ree for the soundtrack of the 1998 motion picture Hav Plenty.

Cher performed the song on the "Love Hurts Tour" in 1992.

More Bruce stuff tomorrow.

Dream Theater - The Dark Eternal Night

Here s one of my favorites, Dream Theater.
Its a very educated band, and won many awards for being so
proffessional in technically view.

They started in 1985 in Boston.
Their latest album that they released this year is "Black Clouds & Silver Linings"
Now that is something!!!

This tune comes from the album "Systematic Chaos" that was done in 2007,
both James LaBrie and Mike Portnoy do contributing vocals.
It sounds pretty cool.

Enjoy Folks!

The Quireboys - Tears in Heaven

The Quireboys are an English hard rock band formed in 1984 in London, England, with strong ties to Newcastle.
In the United States they were known as the London Quireboys.
The band were successful during the late 1980s and early 1990s, with their debut album "A Bit of What You Fancy".
In 1993, the Quireboys broke up but briefly reformed live in 1995 with different members. A more permanent reformation came in 2001 when front man Spike, guitarist Guy Griffin and bassist Nigel Mogg put together a new line-up. The band is still active, recording new material and playing live.
In Maj 2008 The Quireboys released their long awaited album "Homewreckers & Heartbreakers" on the Jerkin Crocus label.

Todays tune is a nice cover of Eric Claptons "Tears in Heaven" and its a charity single release in 2006
