Arch Enemy - Bloodstained Cross

The Woman Of Metal came to Sweden, Stockholm, Tyrol....
Angela Gossov, she brought with her The Band, Arch Enemy Im in heaven!!!

This band originnaly come from Halmstad in Sweden formed in 1996, Its members were in bands such as Carcass, Armageddon, Carnage, Mercyful Fate, Spiritual Beggars, and Eucharist to name a few. The guys who gave the band its birth was Carcass guitarist Michael Amott along with Johan Liiva, who were both originally from the influential death metal band Carnage.

The gig was very dynamic and they gave it all, the guys were playing like never b4 and Angela was singing like a Belsebub God :D

They released their 8th album in May this year, its called, "Khaos Legions".
The drummer Daniel Erlandsson said about the album:
"We had a very inspiring and creative time writing this album. I think this is definitely evident when listening to the new songs. There's tons of variation in the material, ranging all the way from very melodic to extremely heavy.
As you can expect there's no shortage of killer riffs and intricate guitar work; the Amott brothers [Michael and Chris] have come up with some very cool yet demanding ideas! This album has some of the fastest songs I've ever recorded, along with a bunch of heavy pounding mid-tempo songs. As always, it's difficult to describe music in words, but rest assured — this album will be one heavy fucker!"

Here u have some pics from the show that Stones and me took.
If u guys wanna see more pics from this gig look at our page on facebook later on this week.

Mercyful Fate - Come To The Sabbath

Mercyful Fate is a Danish heavy metal band from Copenhagen. Initially active from 1981 to 1985, they reunited in 1992. The band went on hiatus again in 2000, when frontman King Diamond decided to continue his solo career. They are cited as major influences by many artists in the black metal, thrash metal, power metal, and progressive metal genres.

Seance, a blogging colleague has a brief history lesson of Mercyful Fates musical career, easy to read and very content rich, divided into two parts, part one you read here and part two here. However, this in Swedish, so use Google Translate, and it becomes about right. :) I got very inspired by these lines so Mercyful Fate has spun in the headphones today. My choice was a classic with this band and album "Don't Break The Oath"

Todays tune "Come To The Sabbath" is taken from Mercyful Fate's second full-length album "Don't Break The Oath". It was released in 1984.

The style Mercyful Fate employed on Don't Break The Oath resembled a mixture of post-Judas Priest and Iron Maiden heavy metal, lyrically preoccupied with Satan and the occult and distinguished by King Diamond's theatrical falsetto vocals. The album was remastered and subsequently re-issued on Roadrunner Records in 1997. This reissue came with the bonus track, "Death Kiss (Demo)," which would eventually evolve into the album's lead-off track, "A Dangerous Meeting."

Metal-Rules.com named "Don't Break the Oath" as the greatest extreme metal album of all time.
