Shotgun Messiah - Heartbreak Blvd

Shotgun Messiah were a glam metal band originally from Sweden. The band originally went under the name "Kingpin" while in Sweden, recording the album Welcome To Bop City; the line-up featured Zinny J. Zan (vocals), Tim Skold (going by "Tim Tim") (bass), Harry K. Cody (guitar) and Pekka "Stixx" Ollinen (drums). This would become the original line-up of Shotgun Messiah.
The band plays a style of glam metal typical of early 1980s American bands such as Mötley Crüe and Ratt.

Todays tune "Heartbreak Blvd" is taken from their second album "Second Coming", released in 1991. The drums on 'Second Coming' is a mix between programmed and trigged drums.

Europe - Superstitious

The band Europe play´d yesterday at the amusement
park Gröna Lund in Stockholm.
I took some pictures on it, but they eint really perfect as their were too many
people in the audience to go through so I stayed mainly on the side :)

I became a Europe fan when they 2004 released "Start from the dark"
I was thrilled and astonished!

After that, Europe did 2 more albums Secret Society and Last look at Eden.
Both are very good.

I worked as a stagehand and fire guard on the roof.
They had big bomb on the roof.
This is a picture from the roof :)

The pyro guy was David Wallin.
He did a smashing good job!
David is also drummer in the band Pain, one of Peter Tägtgrens project band, :)

Joe Tempest felled a bit when he was running around on the stage,
this picture below was slightly after, with the Pm beside him, in case of. :)

The set list was as following (the dots are the Big Booom on the roof)

This was Europe last show on their Festival summer.
They will do some gig in South America later on this fall.
In February they will go to UK.

Thier guitarist John Norum has always been a favorite of mine,
he recently did a solo album, (I have no idea how he had the time
doing it due to their huge amount of gigs they done this year)
Its called "Play Yard Blues" really Hendrix blues :)

Another guy that I love for his humor is Ian Haugland that came onto
the band in 1986, playd the drums with them from The Final Countdown
and still are. He is also doing radio shows in Stockholm at a
program called Rock Klassiker and he does it gooood!

This tune comes from Out of This World and that was released in 1988.
The biggest hit from the album was "Superstitious" which peaked at number 31 on the Billboard Hot 100 and number 9 on the Mainstream Rock Tracks.

This is the tune that hooked me on Europe "Start from The dark".
Its great on the sound but crappy in sight, enjoy!
Peace Thetania

Mötley Crüe - Mutherfucker Of The Year

We are going to continue with Sonisphere, and specially for u all in Finland
that couldnt see Mötley Crüe ´cos the stupid storm fucked their backline.
Thankfully the two people (from the audience) most seriously injured
are no longer critical.

As Bruce Dickinson announced on stage as he gave a rallying call to the crowd and introduced Alice Cooper: “The stage over there is completely fucked.
Mötley Crüe’s stuff is fucked and our stuff is fucked, but we don’t care.
We’re not going home until you go home.”
Now thats Bruce!
Bruce also said before the set’s finale:
“This is one of the most amazing concerts of my whole life.
We were pissed on by the gods and we pissed on the gods right back.
For those of you that have rocked we fucking salute you.”

Both Alice Cooper and Iron Maiden played full sets.
While the stage hands plugged in 30 hairdryers and set to work on salvaging the situation, Alice’s band got busy borrowing functioning (and most importantly dry) gear from Slayer. It could well be the loudest they’ve ever sounded.

Back to the band of today :)

Ill play a tune from the 2008 album "Saints of Los Angeles"
It is Mötley Crüe´s ninth studio album, and the first to feature the band's
classic line-up since Generation Swine.
Nikki Sixx stated in his blog that he believes the band are
"on to some of the better songs [they've] had in years"

They formed in L.A. back in 1981 and famed for their constant
bad behaviour and brushes with the law,
Mötley Crüe were the leaders of the hair metal scene of the 80s.
Few bands could claim to have consumed or indulged more
than Mötley Crüe have over the course of their career,
and in 2010 they’ll be bringing their Carnival of Sins to Sonisphere.
You have been warned! Moohaha.
