This maxim is a part of our lives for many centuries’ .Ancient civilizations like Romans had a belief that it has several extra ordinary powers in it. Although all the fruits have some intrinsic health beneficial characteristics contained in them but Apple has all those collected in one place. That’s make it very amazing and magical among the fruit family.
Apple is a profuse source of vital minerals like Vitamin C or L-ascorbic acid that really helps to strengthen the immune system reducing and eliminating problems like slow healing process, bleeding gums and alike. Deficiency in Vitamin C results into Scurvy, an avitaminosis causing the formation of brownish spots on the skin, gum issue and bleeding problems from all mucous membranes.
Vitamin C is an excellent antioxidant and is found very beneficial as a cell detoxifier and for enzymatic functionality. Apples also comprise of bioflavonoids, which are found to be very useful as far as their antioxidant character is concerned.
